How To Fill Out Your Absentee Ballot!

  1. Once you receive the ballot, mark the ballot for Jackie!

    1. Mark the oval next to Jackie’s name under the party of your choice. Jackie will appear on 3 different party lines (Democrat, Working Families Party, and Independence Party). Only vote for Jackie Gordon under one party! Filling in multiple ovals for Jackie will invalidate your ballot.

    2. Make sure not to make any extra markings such as lines, circles, or notes. This could invalidate your ballot!

  2. Once you have completed marking your ballot, fold it up and place it in the security envelope.

    1. This envelope will have a place for your signature.

    2. Make sure to sign and date the outside of the security envelope! This is the number one reason ballots aren’t counted.

  3. Seal the security envelope.

  4. Place the security envelope in the return envelope.

    1. This envelope will have the return address of your county Board of Elections on the outside and should have a logo that reads, “Official Election Mail”

  5. Seal the Return Envelope.

  6. You may return the ballot in any of the following ways:

    1. Put it in the mail with a forever stamp ensuring it receives a postmark no later than November 3rd.

    2. Bring it to the County Board of Elections Office no later than November 3rd by 9pm.

    3. Bringing it to an early voting poll site between October 24th and November 1st

    4. Bringing it to a poll site on November 3rd by 9pm.
