BREAKING: GORDON RAISES OVER $260K IN FOURTH QUARTER
Momentum Propels Lt. Colonel (Ret) Jackie Gordon Into 2020 With Strongest Fundraising Quarter to Date

BABYLON, NY— The Jackie Gordon for Congress campaign announced today that it raised over $260,000 from 1,660 individual supporters in the final quarter of 2019. Gordon will report over $289,000 cash on hand. Gordon has more cash on hand heading into the election year than any of the Republicans in their primary.

The fundraising haul comes after the retirement announcement of 14-term incumbent Rep. Pete King. King’s retirement, shifting district demographics, and Jackie’s strong profile and deep ties in NY-02 provide an opportunity for Democrats to flip this seat.

“Lt. Colonel (Ret) Jackie Gordon’s experience as a combat veteran, Babylon Town Councilwoman, and educator, and her mission to bring an independent voice to Washington are driving excitement and resources to our people-powered campaign. Jackie does not take any money from corporate PACs, and the 2nd district is ready for a representative who will take on the special interests and do more for hardworking Long Islanders,” said campaign manager Meg Scribner.

Since Gordon’s entrance into the race and Rep. King’s retirement announcement, Cook Political Report and Inside Elections have moved this race in Democrats’ favor.
