GORDON HOSTS HEALTH CARE WEBINAR
Jackie Gordon provides residents of NY-02 an opportunity to personally connect with a health care provider and have their questions addressed.

BABYLON, NY— Yesterday, Lt. Colonel (Ret.) Jackie Gordon hosted an informational Zoom webinar with special guest Dr. Keasha Guerrier, MD, a family medicine physician at Northwell Health.

“Despite cancelling all in-person events over a month ago, I am committed to staying connected to residents of NY-02,” Gordon said. “That means meeting them where they are, in their living rooms, with the information they need.

“I’ve spoken to so many people who simply can’t keep up with the changing landscape on Long Island, or don’t have easy access to a health care provider when they have a question. That’s why I wanted to provide this forum for anyone to connect directly with a doctor,” Gordon added.

Dr. Guerrier delivered a presentation on steps that Long Islanders can take to keep themselves and their families safe, including updated protocol for face coverings and decontamination. She and LTC Gordon participated in a live Q&A with participants.

This was the second informational session that Gordon has hosted during the COVID-19 pandemic. She previously hosted a conference call for local small business owners with Erica Chase-Gregory, the Director of the Small Business Development Center at Farmingdale College, who presented on how to apply for disaster business loans and other federal programs.

“Jackie has dedicated her entire life to service. She listens to her community, identifies a need, and goes above and beyond in working with others to find a solution. That’s what she’s continuing to do as a candidate, and it’s the same approach she will take as a member of Congress,” said Gordon’s campaign manager, Meg Scribner.

Gordon is running for New York’s Second Congressional District to replace retiring Rep. Peter King. She is a combat veteran, retired educator, and former Babylon Town Councilwoman. She was named to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s highly-competitive Red to Blue program in January.
